![]() ![]() Exchange ProgramsIATP's China Exchange Program kicked-off in September 2007 with Remnin University (in Beijing) professor Zhou Li's month-long visit to IATP. Our goal is to facilitate Chinese/U.S. interaction, networking and research in the field of sustainable agriculture and sustainable food systems. We are organizing field visits to different farms, agricultural organizations, co-ops, etc., with a special emphasis on providing practical experience for the participants. During the 2008 growing season, IATP hosted Chinese Ph.D. student Shi Yan, also from Renmin University in Beijing. Shi Yan is completing an internship at the Earthrise Farm in Madison, Minn. to learn about all aspects of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), including sustainable growing techniques, planning, marketing and management. She plans to work with her professors at Renmin University to set up CSA demonstration sites in several villages back in China.
