School meals are an important source of nutrition for kids, even during the summer. The Summer Food Service Program provides free meals to children during the summer months, and some Minnesota schools are taking advantage of the growing season to incorporate locally grown fruits and vegetables into summer meals. IATP is proud to partner with the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and Roseville Area Schools as they launch “Farm to Summer” initiatives that will help nourish kids, farmers and communities.

IATP has produced a series of short videos promoting Summer Meals and Farm to Summer.
