Local Food Access Initiatives
The Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy invites you to learn about efforts to expand our region’s local food system,
focusing on outcomes from the Homegrown Minneapolis initiative and ways to increase access to healthy and local food in
our neighborhoods, institutions and schools. We’ll also learn from national expert Rose Hayden Smith about the inspiring lessons
of the Victory Garden movement, past and present.

Join local food and gardening enthusiasts for an in-depth workshop about Victory Gardens that reviews historical
case studies, current national policies, and the future work needed to sustain the Victory Garden model as part
of the overall local food movement!
