History: Law Order No. 2385 was issued by the French High Commission in 1924 and amended by Lebanese law of 1946. Lebanon is not a WTO member.

Provisions until now: The only exclusions related to biodiversity are those on inventions evidently contrary to public morality and pharmaceutical formula and compounds.
