More progress needed to connect farmers with federal conservation programs. There has been some positive development for conservation agriculture policy in the U.S. since 2021, but USDA still rejects more than three in four farmer applications to CSP.

United States interfering with Mexico’s science-based restrictions on genetically modified corn

MINNEAPOLIS—On February 13, Mexico’s Ministry of the Economy released a revised decree on its planned restrictions on the imports of genetically-modified corn following pressure from the United States Trade Representative (USTR) to explain the science behind its plans to ban GM corn and glyphosate.
