Job Description

 

The state program navigator intern will assist in creating a State Program Navigator for Minnesota’s rural communities acting to respond to climate change. This resource will include programs and resources housed at Minnesota state agencies. The intern will create the navigator in a user-friendly format for rural leaders and local government officials across the state to identify appropriate programs to meet community needs.

Responsibilities:

· Schedule meetings with state agency staff

· Inventory state program offerings and collect relevant information about the programs

· Research and write case studies of program use

· Design and update a web tool displaying state program offerings

Start Date:

Start and end dates are flexible within the summer timeframe (June/July/August)

Location:

Intern must be based in Minnesota. Regular in-person check-ins will be required, as well as potential travel within Minneapolis and St. Paul for meetings.

Duration/Hours:

20 hours/week for 10 weeks

Experience/Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree completed or in progress

· Relationship builder – able to interview and meet with a variety of people

· Detail oriented

· Experience with web-based tools

Compensation and Benefits: $15/hour
