Thierry Kesteloot

Thierry worked as policy advisor for Oxfam Belgium on sustainable food systems. His research and advocacy related to issues ranging from agricultural trade, market regulation, food crises, human rights, agroecology, food systems transformation and food governance. He helped raising the voices of farmers movements and rights holders in policy processes and building alliances from local, European to global levels. He has provided support to the civil society participation at the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) where he facilitated the working groups on food price volatility, biofuels, social protection, and global food governance. He played leading roles on sustainable food systems for Oxfam International, participated in research programs and in different coalitions and advisory committees in Belgium, the European Union and at international levels.
