Scotland and Maryland, USA, described as two of the world's leading
biotechnology communities, today formed an alliance which they hope will
strengthen their economies.
The deal was announced at BIO 2000 in Boston between Scottish Enterprise and
the Maryland Bioscience Alliance, and will improve access to new markets,
and encourage additional technology transfer and investment opportunities
between the two.
