The Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation, based in Anoka, sponsors a grant program to scholars and researchers in a wide range of fields, but focusing on conservation and environmental issues. Next year the Foundation's annual meeting is in Minnesota, and they are eager to receive
applications from locally based scholars, or scholars working on issues and projects in Minnesota (e.g., forestry, agriculture, natural resource conservation, adaptive technology, etc.). The grants are small ($10,580,
chosen because that's what Lindbergh's airplane, the Spirit of St. Louis, cost in 1927), but noteworthy. The 2005 deadline is coming up fast-- June 10, 2004-- so interested people should contact the Foundation immediately.
