ST. LOUIS - Integrated Protein Technologies (IPT), a unit of Monsanto Company, has named The Hughes Group as its agency of record. IPT is a world leader in the development and use of plants improved through biotechnology for producing therapeutic proteins for use in pharmaceuticals, vaccines and industrial enzymes. IPT initiated its agency review with 10 St. Louis shops before selecting Hughes.
"This partnership is a phenomenal opportunity for all of us," said Jim Schnurbusch, Hughes Group president. "Not only will Hughes generate awareness about IPT's capabilities, we'll be pioneering the brand for an entirely new category. That's very exciting."
Hughes will be developing a complete integrated marketing communications program for IPT, including advertising, direct marketing, cybermarketing, collateral materials and public relations.
The Hughes IPT team will be led by Schnurbusch; Michael Hutchinson, chief creative officer, Cheryl Redohl, account supervisor; Fred Kahn, copywriter; Dan O'Saben, senior art director; and Jan Sheehan, vice president and director of public relations.
Founded in 1977, the Hughes Group is a full-service marketing communications company. The firm serves national, regional and international clients.
