Jeff Diamond is the Climate Risk Policy Analyst for IATP, focusing on identifying and assessing the biggest risks posed by climate change as it impacts our food and farming systems. Jeff’s work will help to identify the underlying causes of these risks, gauge their relative impacts, and explore the range of viable policy solutions.

After 14 years of actuarial work focused on benefits consulting, Jeff switched career paths in 2020 to focus on the intersection of climate issues and agriculture. In 2023, Jeff completed a master’s degree in food and agriculture law and policy at the Vermont Law and Graduate School, where he completed projects focused on climate resilience, farmland access, and antimonopoly issues. Jeff previously worked at Minnesota Farmers Union as the Operations Coordinator.

After growing up on the East Coast, Jeff moved to the Twin Cities area in 2014. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys spending time exploring parks and playgrounds with his two daughters, trips to the Arboretum, and seeing live music.
