Switzerland welcomes further discussions on the need and possible content of a development box as suggested by several developing country Members. The purpose of the exercise is to provide DCs the requisite flexibility to enhance domestic production, in particular for domestic consumption and food security, and to take such other measures necessary to improve the livelihood of their farmers, particularly low-income and resource-poor farmers.
