Sourcing, storing, preparing, and serving local products requires a complex network of partners to reach the scale of purchasing that can impact our local economies and build markets for local producers and businesses. Together, all these partners create the Farm to Kids network, ensuring that millions of dollars of local food makes its way to school and early care plates in Minnesota each year.

IATP Europe comments on the EU’s Climate Law and 2040 target

The following comments were submitted on September 3, 2025 in public consultations of the European Commission, in regards to the European Climate Law and the proposed 2040 climate target. The Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP) Europe welcomes the EU’s efforts to make its 2040 climate target legally binding.

Enabling better food labeling in USMCA

The upcoming review of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) is an opportunity to reform USMCA provisions that limit transparency about food and food systems. This include rules about mandatory Country of Origin labeling, nutrition labeling, and disclosure of genetically modified (GM) ingredients.
