We're in a rut when it comes to taking action on climate change. Congress has stalled on passing climate legislation. International negotiators failed to agree on binding emission cuts in Cancun late last year. And it's unclear whether the EPA will have the power to regulate greenhouse gases. Fortunately, we have a tool to help us make a real impact on slowing climate change: the Farm Bill.

As Minnesota Grows Warmer

If warming continues in Minnesota no industry sector will be affected more by climate change than farming. With drier weather corn and soybeans would be heavily reliant on irrigation and dry land crops might become more common. Intensive animal production will be less viable, right along with ethanol plants and other huge investments made to take advantage of our current climate advantages.
