We are active at the United Nations and World Trade Organization and through various bilateral and multilateral agreements to ensure that the rights of farmers to receive a fair price, engage in conservation and sustainable practices, and even just to stay on their land are upheld and respected. May Day, Chicago, NAFTA, and solidarity

This week we celebrate May Day, the International Day of Workers’ Rights. The days’ origins are in the Haymarket Affairs in Chicago in 1886, when labor activists were killed for advocating for an 8-hour workday.
